BYRD provides a digital travel service that brings travel information, communication, booking options and other travel-related features together in one place.

About BYRD
BYRD is your travel companion, designed to help travelers access and manage information and services related to their journey.
BYRD may be provided directly to you or made available in connection with a travel agency, DMC, tour operator or other travel service provider.
Depending on your journey, BYRD may include itineraries, travel documents, flight information, accommodation, activities, maps, notifications, communication, booking options, Ask BYRD and other travel-related features.
Byrd ehf. operates as a licensed travel agency in Iceland and may sell travel-related products and services.
Using BYRD
You agree to use BYRD lawfully and responsibly.
You must not misuse the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software or use BYRD in a way that could harm BYRD, other users or third parties.
Where an account is required, you are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for providing accurate information.
Travel information
Travel information displayed in BYRD may originate from travel agencies, DMCs, airlines, accommodation providers, activity providers and other travel suppliers.
We work to present information accurately and clearly, but certain information may change or be updated by the relevant provider.
Travelers should follow official instructions from BYRD, their travel provider, airline, accommodation provider or relevant authority where applicable.
Bookings and travel services
Travel-related products and services available for purchase through BYRD are sold by BYRD unless clearly stated otherwise during the booking process.
The underlying travel service may be provided or performed by an independent supplier, such as an activity provider, accommodation provider, transport company, car rental company or other travel service provider.
The identity of the relevant supplier and the main conditions applicable to the booking will be presented during the booking process where applicable.
Prices, availability, cancellation conditions and other booking-specific terms may vary between products and suppliers and will be presented before a booking is completed.
By completing a booking, you agree to the conditions applicable to that booking.
Ask BYRD and automated information
BYRD may include Ask BYRD and other automated or AI-assisted features designed to help you find and understand information related to your journey.
These features are provided as assistance and should not replace official travel information, professional advice or instructions from airlines, travel providers, authorities or emergency services.
Information generated through automated features may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated, and important information should be verified where appropriate.
Payments, cancellations and refunds
Payments for products and services purchased through BYRD may be processed by third-party payment providers on behalf of BYRD.
The total price and applicable payment conditions will be presented before you complete your purchase.
Cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the product, service and underlying supplier.
The applicable cancellation and refund conditions will be presented as part of the booking process where relevant.
Where you are entitled to a refund, it will be handled in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and mandatory consumer protection laws.
Third-party suppliers
BYRD works with independent travel suppliers and service providers to make travel-related products and services available through the Service.
Although BYRD may act as the seller of a booking, the actual travel service may be performed by an independent supplier.
Those suppliers are responsible for performing their services in accordance with the booking, applicable law and any supplier-specific conditions communicated as part of the booking.
Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility BYRD may have towards you under applicable travel or consumer protection law.
Intellectual property
BYRD, including its software, design, branding, logos, features and original content, is owned by Byrd ehf. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use BYRD for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, sell or commercially exploit any part of BYRD except where permitted by law or with our written consent.
Availability of the Service
We aim to keep BYRD available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation at all times.
Some features depend on internet connectivity, device functionality and services or information supplied by third parties.
We may update, improve or modify BYRD from time to time.
Limitation of liability
BYRD provides access to travel information and travel-related products and services, some of which are performed by independent suppliers.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BYRD is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or any rights or remedies available to you under applicable travel or consumer protection law.

By using BYRD, you acknowledge that personal information may be processed as necessary to provide the Service in accordance with that Policy.

You may stop using BYRD at any time.
Termination or suspension does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.

If you are a consumer in Iceland, the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction providing mandatory consumer protections, those rights continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iceland.
